FAQ

What is an OFX file?

OFX (Open Financial Exchange) is a standard bank-transaction format that Quicken and most accounting tools can import. QBO is the QuickBooks-flavored variant of the same format.

OFX or QBO — which do I need?

Use OFX for Quicken and general accounting software; use QBO specifically for QuickBooks Desktop Web Connect. This tool exports both from the same reviewed data.

Does the OFX include running balances?

Yes. When your statement has balances, a ledger balance is included; each transaction carries its date, signed amount and description.

Is my statement uploaded?

No. The OFX is built in your browser and your statement never leaves your device.
